Job Duties
Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who perform the following duties: spread topsoil and lay sod; spray, prune, cut and remove trees and shrubs;
Provide winter snow removal, ice removal using hand tools and machinery
Supervising snow removal team and coordinating with site owners/managers
Construct landscape and landscape structures; and plant, cultivate and harvest trees, shrubs, flowers and plants
Build retaining walls and minor fencing for areas to make ecstatically appealing
Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units
Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
Train workers in job duties and company policies
Requisition supplies and materials
May perform the same duties as workers supervised as well other duties that apply
Job Requirements
Experience with blueprints and landscape designs is an asset
Drivers licence is an asset
Punctual
Able to work long hours, standing, crouching, and lift 50Lbs repeatedly
Willing to work evenings and weekends as well overtime as required
Work as a team or independent to complete tasks
Able to write reports and provide customer service to customers on site
