    Education: Some secondary is an asset  

    Work Experience: 3 years cooking experience  

    Job Duties:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods as per orders 
  • Prepare and cook special meals to comply with allergies and customer dietary constraints 
  • Supervise kitchen helpers
  • Oversee kitchen operations
  • May set up and oversee buffets for special events 
  • Keep clean kitchen and work area
  • May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Train kitchen staff and transfer skills 
  • Other duties that apply 

    Job Requirements:

  • Punctual 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Work well as a team or independent
  • Knowledge of fine dining 
  • Able to stand for long periods
