Job Duties:
- Examine work orders and consult with supervisor.
- To diagnose and isolate faults, inspect the motor in operation, road test the vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices.
- Using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment, adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems such as the fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.
- Test and fine-tune repaired systems to meet the performance specifications of the manufacturer.
- Responsible for oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups for scheduled maintenance services.
- Inform customers about the work done, the general condition of the vehicle, and the need for future repairs.
Job Requirements:
- Criminal record check
- Own good amount of basic automotive tools within first 2 weeks
- Ability to obtain Red Seal endorsement 6 months after working
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to work independently and as a team
- All day staying in the field
- Lift at least 50 lbs at a time
- Attention to detail
